Instead of new year’s resolutions, how about action?

I’m hijacking that old bromide about luck being what happens when preparation meets opportunity, and turning it into this:

Success with New Year’s resolutions is what happens when action meets commitment.

If you’ve been thinking about how to position yourself smartly for when the economy brightens, now’s the time to stop the over-thinking habit and start doing. If you’ve been making resolutions for the fresh start of a year, now’s the time to stop resolving (well, except for your clients!) and take the first steps to putting your resolutions into practice.

Those of us who’ve succeeded in the business of mediation and ADR haven’t just thought about doing it. We’ve gotten ourselves out there and been doing.

On January 4, the price for my self-paced, online marketing course for ADR professionals goes up $100. Secure your slot and save a bundle on the enrollment fee before then: Making Mediation Your Day Job course.

  1. My mantra for the year is the same: execution. Ideas are a dime a dozen, it's execution that counts.

What do you think?
