Imagine that you’re enjoying a conversation at work when in swoops someone you’ve never met and joins the conversation without an invitation. You’d probably be a bit surprised, maybe even put off.
Now imagine you’re the person who the conversants have never met. How do you join in? And how, praytell, do you do it online?
Dave Olson imagined just these scenarios and has written a terrific article about the ways blogs help build relationships without some of the same social taboos of in-person conversations. In Break All the Social Taboos for Better Relationships Dave points out that it can be a lot easier to build new professional relationships in the “brave new Web 2.0 world.”
Of course, naturally I think Dave’s brilliant because that’s the same premise that’s behind my forthcoming book, Making Mediation Your Day Job™!
Drop on by Dave’s post…and be sure to leave a comment.

Tammy, I'm blushing! Thanks for the nod. Now I can't wait for the book to get here.
Aw, Dave, that's kind of you. I am glad to have found your blog and you.
